Following the acquisition of a Plug&Grind® Classic unit for Barbados, ROCK HARD CEMENT proceeded with the purchase of a Plug&Grind® Supreme unit for Guyana.

Until recently, Guyana was among the poorest countries in the Americas, alongside Haiti. However, the discovery of significant offshore oil reserves has transformed the country into one of the fastest-growing economies in the region, creating an urgent demand for cement.

The client, previously importing limited quantities of bagged cement, decided to install the largest modular grinding plant in CEMENGAL’s portfolio, with a production capacity exceeding half a million tons of cement per year.
